Your boys took a hell of a beating.

Oh, woops, actually they didn’t.

woops update

For those who care, it would appear my ankle is on the road to recovery. This is after it has been a variety of very interesting colours and textures in the last 8 days.

The limp has even subsided somewhat now and I am able to walk greater distances than just that between my desk and the coffee machine at work. I’m not able to do the rehabilitation exercises properly yet, still too painful.

woops

I haven’t written much recently – a lack of time rather than ideas.

But I will have the opportunity in the next few weeks.  Not through carefully organising my professional and social diary, to allow the time to put my wit and wisdom to paper, erm, I mean online.

No, it’s because I am currently laid up with an ankle that is at least double the size it should be.  A football injury of course, and I spent 3 hours at A&E last night just to make sure it wasn’t broken.  Thankfully, its only a sprain, though apparently the x-ray showed that I have a tiny piece of bone floating around on the top of my foot.  This is probably from the last time I sprained the same ankle, 5 1/2 years ago.  Given its the same ankle, I suspect it may be a good 6 weeks before I’m back to footie.

The 10km training plan is now officially on hold.  Being able to run 1km by January would, right now, be a huge success.
